HI all,
We did it! We walked the 5K - it was a beautiful day and I was so encouraged by the people there - there were families, companies, friends, churches, etc... it was so cool to be a part of something so important. I was even more encouraged that we could be an example for our little ones at church - we had several kids come - and to be a kid and involved in something so huge - was even more cool - they could go back to their schools and share how amazing theri experience was.... =) Just another way we're teaching the little ones about the importance of life, love and others...
Anyway, JA and I left the race with SPJ and JJ - we ate jja jjang myun... is that how you spell it? anyway - yummy... =) then we headed over to DQ - and ate ice cream - a nice reward after a long walk =P then we headed over to IKEA - that place is dangerous - so much to buy - and relatively cheap too... we bought a desperately needed dresser that doesn't match our furniture -but I'll finish it this summer = and we bought a floor protector for our desk chair... and we bought a cute beach mat for only 2.99...l what a deal! So it was a long and productive time - but of course - it's shopping - so it was tons of fun...I need to go back - b/c JA and I liked a chair there that won't fit in our car - any friends wanna help us out with their big car?? hee hee we also want this swivel mirror so we can exercise and watch tv at the same time.
so we had a great time and the J's bought a couple of things too.. =)
then SPJ and I headed to ha na reum to do so grocery shopping... yummy Korean food and then we headed back to their place... JA and JJ were supposed to put the tv stand thing together - but you think they did it? nope - they just vegged - it's ok - i don't blame them - SPJ and I were pretty pooped too - so we watched the end of Kindergarten cop and then headed off to eat some more!
Fuddruckers.... this was a new experience for JA and me... it was yummy and fun - kinda different.... you order your burger then you get to sit down - no waiters - and great food - I guess it's an interesting idea... but in any case - we had a great time - JA's belly was full and we headed back to the J's to get our stuff and go home...
On the way home - i started to et a bit sleepy - thank God for cruise control - keeps me from speeding too much in the darkness... so once on 87 - I put the car in cruise control - listened to some great acapella and tried my best to stay awake.... we got home in one piece so no worries...
too tired to build last night - so JA is building our new dresser this morning
then I'm going to buy some snacks for NHF snack time.... then off to church we go.... =)
it was a wild and crazy - busy weekend - but it feels good - we've accomplished much... =)
