I'm so tired right now...
this morning - woke up at 6ish... maybe 6:30... got dressed and ready
drove JA to the train
off to Filene's basement for the bridal gown sale - it is a famous sale - you know....
so I arrive - it's 7:40am - and the line of women - brides shall we say - with their friends, mothers, fiances and other assorted helpers were all lined up. Thankfully my friend was already in line - but it was a crazy experience... we actually ran to the dresses - i can't believe it - but yes, even I ran towards the dresses - grabbed as many as I could - about 5... and then went looking for my friend... i put a few back - grabbed a couple more - still looking for M - then finally I found her - stripping off her clothes and trying on dresses right in the middle of all the racks - no worries - she was prepared in bicycle shorts and a bikini top - no one saw anything... so she tried on dress after dress while other women were walking around saying "Can I have your rejects?" so we were passing dresses along to others... then we walked around and watched other people try on dresses and ask them if they were keeping them - if not - the dress was tossed over to us and M put them on - it was trying crazy...we found a couple in the style of choice - but they lacked detail and embroidery - so they were not worth it - some of the dresses were beautiful and I guess I've come to realize that when the girl sees her dress - she just knows... for some women - it's like a perfect fit - with who there are and the dress just says "wow!" I saw it before my eyes... it was actually so touching - I almost started to cry... i know - it's ridiculous... but it's true...
anyway - after that - we pigged out at Cheesecake factory -yummy - there is no place better...
btw - it's M's fiance's bday today - although he is still in Iraq and he'll be there until Nov 1 - we wish him a happy birthday! Constant prayers for his safe return and for continued peace of mind as he faces some combat situations by the end of this month. =( We hope for the best and pray for safety. =)
i'm so tired... there's more to say - but some of it's JA's news - so we'll have to wait until he decides he wants it to be public knowledge... no worries - it's not a raise - so it's not that exciting...
