One Day At A Time...

All for His Glory...

Hey there!

JA and i went all over the place last night looking for night tables/end tables and finally found them! The last two in Mahopac - crazy - I know... we bought them last night at 9;45 pm.. after driving to two other stores that were sold out. So JA spent all morning building them - but we love them!

I went all over yesterday looking for curtains in a specific color = couldn't find them - they were either too sheer or too purple... I was looking for a cranberry color... so finally I found king sheets in the color - so i decided to make my own curtains... project is half complete - they're hanging but they're too long so I'm going to cut and hem them...

then with the extra fabric I'm going to make a small curtain to hang over the air conditioner window... someties the light comes in and it make tv viewing for JA difficult - so with a curtain all should be fine. =)

it's amazing curtains for $40 where I was going to spend $50 for just one panel...

they're a bit bright - I think I hae to get used to them... not sure what the parentals are going to think - but we're not taking them down now - we worked too hard to make them and put them up...

it's almost noon and I've still gotta finish the hems on the curtains, make lunch, pick up cakes for tonight's party and make zucchini - I think I can do it! =)

I love being productive. =)

hope all of you are enjoying this gorgeous day.

mornin'

trying to memorize some scripture hebrews 1:8 and hebrews 4:15 ... i'm not very good at memorizing - but a little a day is good...

thinking about exercising - but I know i'll be moving around a lot today in gross heat - so I think I'll validate my no exercise with today's shopping excursion =)

so thankful that last night was fun and encouraging - i'm so blessed to have friends whose hearts are for the nations - who are moved by what God is doing all over the world. Helps me to remember that I need to think beyond my small suburban bubble...

went to pick up my photo yesterday and it wasn't ready =( so sad... still waiting for it to come out so I can see how it turned out.... and how it looks in the living room. =/

in anycase, hopefully today we can all stay cool, have a successful shopping day and purchase many useful things!

enjoy.

Good mornin'

things to do:
1. figure out what color my living room curtains should be
2. decide whether I should make them or buy them... it might be cheaper?
3. pick up my enlarged photo of my stone path =)
4. call a bunch of people
5. have lunch with AMS friends
6. tutor
7. have dinner with college friends
8. prepare some dinner for JA before I leave
9. do some laundry - maybe this can wait for a cooler day...
10. do the dishes
11. read some books
12. paint my nails - not high on the priority list
13. wake up.... i'm still sleepy - but I haven't finished my morning coffee - i should be fine in a few... i'm just sleepy. =O

good news! my dear friend is now dating!! how exciting... but I've found that my maternal instincts kicked in - immediately with the "take it slow" "don't rush" "be prayerful" "guard your heart" - but of course I couldn't help myself - I googled his name and found mucho info on hi - and he seems like a great christian brother - he's been through a lot but he seems really genuine... and I like that! So I think JA and I give a thumbs up... we have to meet him in person to give him the other thumb... but for now - as long as they take it slow - they've got the green light from us! (Who do we really think we are? they're going to do as they please... ho hum)

Anyhow... have a blessed day all and read the word... and drink from the Living Water.... so you will never thirst again!

love
